Ok, let's recap a bit: I'm currently Assistant Store Manager at the Palm Bay Rd. store. There's currently an opening for Store Manager in Sebastian. I'm one of two serious contenders for the promotion.

I was supposed to interview for it on Friday, but it ended up getting delayed until Monday night. Greg, my District Manager, came down to my store and we talked in the office for about 40 minutes. I think it went really well. He said a few things to me that really weren't business related at all, but which showed that he's looking out for me personally as well; which is terrific. It's funny, he was wearing these really cool shoes - I've been thinking of getting a similar pair - but I didn't want to say anything and look like a suck-up. Anyway, he was very encouraging; letting me know he was confidant in my abilities, and that if I didn't get this store, that I would "get an opportunity real soon."

So I'm told I must blog. I'm at Elizabeth's right now. She's got packers and movers in and out today. I think I'm still in denial about her leaving. I almost feel bad that I haven't been more emotional, but I realize that it's because it still doesn't feel real to me. When Gary called her up to the front on Sunday morning, at first I didn't realize why.

She left once before, but that was more temporary. She moved to Poughkeepsie for a year and a half, but it was never intended to be permanent. This time, it's different. Sure, she may very well move back, and we all secretly hope she does, but she may not.

But God has good things for her in VA. There is tremendous blessing waiting for her. I can't wait to see what happens when God pours out his loving-kindness.
